You can rest-assured we are an amalgam-free surgery. At Ferny Hills Dental we use high quality white composite filling materials. Patients do not like amalgam restorations anymore due to the mercury content and dark silver color. In addition, amalgam restorations tend to crack teeth and stain teeth over time. As with most dental restorations, nothings last forever and will someday need to be replaced for various reasons.
